my family come to visit me, including children?
Your family is welcome to visit you any time, day or night. However,
they are only allowed to stay a total of 14 nights a year per person.

Can
I have a Pet?
Yes. You are allowed
to have one dog, cat or bird. Aquariums are also allowed. Pets are
expected to be housebroken and kept clean and well-groomed. Pets are not allowed to be
kept tied, chained or caged outside the building.

old do you have to be to live at Blair Ridge?
55 years old or older.

Is
there a nursing staff?
No. If a resident
needs private nursing care / assistance / services, they may contract
a home health agency, family member, or other privately funded
assistance.

Can
I have a car?
Yes. If you are living in The Gables apartments, you will be assigned
a reserved parking space. There are also carports available at an
additional charge. Those people living in The Villas condominiums are
allowed one car per household.

Are
the apartments and condominiums furnished?
Each apartment is furnished with a refrigerator, stove, and garbage
disposal; washer and dryers are located in two common laundry rooms. Condominiums have these
appliances as well as a washer, dryer, and dish washer.

What
services are available at Blair Ridge?
Blair Ridge offers a whole host of amenities which include some of the
following: emergency response system in each home and/or apartment,
laundry facilities, maintenance, housekeeping, wellness services,
exercise room, recreation and activities, etc. For more go to

How
many meals are served each day and at what time?
The Gables at Blair Ridge serves three meals per day to its
residents. Persons living at The Villas at Blair Ridge may order
any meal at The Gables for an additional charge.

What
sorts of recreation and activities will be provided / available?
The Life Enrichment Coordinator organizes activities, outings, and
events for Blair
Ridge. The Gables has rooms for crafting projects, exercise,
billiards, cards, and card clubs.

Can
I plant my own flowers?
Yes. However, you are responsible for keeping them weeded and cared
for. Blair Ridge is not be responsible for personal flower gardens /
beds.

Can
I plant a garden?
Yes. An area on the property is designated for gardens. You will be responsible for the
up keep of your garden
and are expected to keep it weeded and cared for. Blair Ridge staff is
not be responsible for personal garden plots.

Are
there be transportation services available?
Yes.
Our bus makes scheduled stops at various areas in
town on a regular schedule. Transportation to physician appointments can also be provided.
